Tobogganing and toboggan runs in Winterberg
Those who love tobogganing will get their money's worth in Winterberg in both summer and winter. Winterberg is located in Sauerland, in western Germany. In summer, the Kappeberg summer toboggan run has been open for many years. A number of toboggan runs have now been added. In total there are now 3 summer toboggan runs. Below are the details about all three summer toboggan runs in Winterberg. In favorable conditions, the 26a and 26b are also open in winter.

Summer tobogganing in the Winterberg area is also still possible on the Kappeberg. This track has a length of 700 meters and has many bends and steep parts. To get to the top, a drag lift first pulls you 250 meters uphill. From the spectator bridge you can enjoy a beautiful view over the course. You will also find many more attractions on the Kappeberg, including a bobsleigh run (one of the longest in the world!), a ropes course, mtb course, a panorama bridge, a fly-line and a playground for the little ones

Schanzen Wirbel Alpine Coaster

The starting point of this toboggan run is near the famous St.-Georg-Schanze on the Herlohberg. After you have pulled a long way up on your sled, with a magnificent view of the famous ski jump, the spectacular journey down begins. This track is about 700 meters long. You whiz down the mountain via sharp turns, steep slopes and even a full 360-degree turn. You decide how fast you go. If you put a lot of speed behind it, you will be back down in just over a minute and you will reach a speed of more than 40 kilometers per hour, but most take about 2.30 minutes! Children from the age of 8 and eight can ride a sled on their own. Younger children perform the breathtaking ride together with mom or dad.
A lot of attention was paid to the safety of the toboggan run. After a strict safety inspection, the green light was given to start using the attraction. The course has been given the name 'Schanzen Wirbel', which means 'whirlpool at the ski jump'. The track can also be used in bad weather and even in winter it remains partially open. It is possible to provide the sleds with a roof against the rain. Toboggan enthusiasts can now also enjoy their favorite leisure activities on the Herlohberg.

Herrloh Blitz Mountain Coaster

And now a third summer toboggan run has been added. This one is opposite the Schanzen Wirbel and is nicely named Herrloh Blitz Mountain Coaster .
Flying alone is more beautiful than a ride on the Herrloh Blitz. The adrenaline rushes through your body as you fly over the 600 meter long track with its eight turns. The Herrloh Blitz is a particularly spectacular toboggan experience. The feeling of speed and gravity is present at this toboggan run. Thanks to the narrow rails you feel the turns even more, but luckily you are safely stuck in the toboggan and let the wind whiz past your ears. Everyone can determine their own speed by not braking a little or very much.
